Deer Stalking Packages

At Benula Sporting Estate, our emphasis is very much on improving our herd through traditional management and selective stalking. Due to the estate’s reputation for such challenging terrain, any deer successfully stalked at Benula is a fine testament to the ability of the hunter. The dates for Scottish Red Deer Stalking Seasons are as follows:

Red stags July 1st – October 20th

Red hinds October 21st – February 15th

Your stalking party will be accompanied by local professional stalker and boatman Angus Hughes, who has worked on the estate for over 20 years. Angus’ experience and knowledge of the loch and deer forest is invaluable when it comes to planning the perfect stalk for your group. The deer forest itself can only be approached by boat up Loch Mullardoch, providing stalking parties with the perfect opportunity to spy the lower ground.

Stalkers should be aware that the estate’s terrain can be challenging and a higher degree of fitness is required than is necessary for some other Highland deer stalking locations. Stalkers should ensure that correct clothing and footwear are worn for any trips out to the deer forest. Please feel free to email us with any questions about the equipment that is required for your stalking trip. We offer a number of deer stalking packages, as outlined below. Please email us for any specific queries.
